Your search for the hottest driver for 2008 just ended here. The verdict is out and if you want to go big off the tee, you will want one of the following drivers in your bag this year.
Callaway FT-5
Highlights: The titanium cup-face and carbon-composite body offer a traditional look. Long and straight is how you will hit with this driver! Sounds like you crushed it when you connect.
Specs: 7 lofts available: 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11, 13 HT
Retail Price: $430.
GolfClubReviewer Overall rating 9/10
Ping G10
Highlights: Ping has done a remarkable job of building on success of the Ping G10 Predecessors the G2 and G5. The driver has a clean design and is not as intimidating as some of the other square and skeywampus drivers that have come out this year. This driver features a taller face and sloped crown which enhances the energy transfer.
Specs: 5 lofts avaliable: 7.5, 9, 10.5, 12, 13.5
Retail pric: $300
GolfClubReviewer Overall rating 9.5/10
CLEVELAND HIBORE XLS
Highlights: Great off the tee, however we just couldnt get over how it looks as you stare at it down the shaft. The scooped crown threw us for a loop! This is the 3rd generation, and is 17% bigger than the HiBore XL. It is stable and lightweight and we had much success hitting it long and straight off the tee.
Specs: 7 lofts available 8.5, 9.5, 10.5, 11.5; draw version: 9, 10.5, 12
Retail Price: $300
GolfClubReviewer Overall rating 8.5/10
